1. Do you have Thyroid problems ? Will these exercises help you to lose weight ?
Yes , absolutely ,Your thyroid gland plays a vital role in metabolism regulation, and consequently, your overall health. As part of the endocrine system, the thyroid releases hormones that travel throughout the body to stimulate the metabolism and energy production of every cell. Several complications affect thyroid function, which, in turn, can influence your ability and desire to exercise. However, exercise may help treat certain thyroid diseases.
Hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism require formal medical treatment, but research has shown that exercise successfully complements treatment plans. Exercise primarily benefits those with hypothyroidism. A study published in Neuroendocrinology Letters in 2005 reported that maximal aerobic exercise increases the circulating levels of thyroxine, triiodothyronine and the thyroid-stimulating hormone. In addition, physical activity increases your metabolic rate, hinders weight gain and combats stress.
2. I have blood pressure problems - can these exercises help me to restore blood circulation ?
Your risk of high blood pressure (hypertension) increases with age, but getting some exercise can make a big difference. And if your blood pressure is already high, exercise can help you control it.
How exercise can lower your blood pressure
How are high blood pressure and exercise connected? Regular physical activity makes your heart stronger. A stronger heart can pump more blood with less effort. If your heart can work less to pump, the force on your arteries decreases, lowering your blood pressure.
Becoming more active can lower your systolic blood pressure — the top number in a blood pressure reading — by an average of 4 to 9 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). That's as good as some blood pressure medications. For some people, getting some exercise is enough to reduce the need for blood pressure medication.
3. I am pregnant - will I be able to join as a member i.e. like pregnancy fitness ?
Unfortunately not , but definately when baby is born you will benefit a lot from the type of exercises we offer to get rid of baby fat .
On normal birth you can exercise 4 weeks after delivery .( accountability you have no complications - Dr letter should be advisable attached to application form )
A caesarean is a major operation, so don't push yourself too soon. The first six weeks after the operation is a time for healing.
4. I lose weight too easy , can you help me to built beautiful muscles and look good ?
Yes we do offer weight maintenance and weight gaining programs . Please advise medical condition should there be any causing this weight lose?
5. I am 87 years old - can I join as a member ?
Absolutely , we take members as young as 16 - 100 . A doctor's certificate should just be handed in to confirm exercising being approved for health reasons .
